Why You?

Many people have hesitations about seeing a dietitian. This is understandable- food is personal and we all have unique needs. Below are just a few examples of clients I serve. If you don't see your concern below, please contact me so we can talk about whether or not I can help.

You don't feel in control of food or your body.

With diet culture, healthism, unattainable physical standards, and weight stigma being so pervasive, it is no surprise that many people struggle with chronic dieting and/or disordered eating. You DO NOT have to live this way. I truly believe recovery from eating disorders and chronic dieting is possible. I am a Certified Intuitive Eating (IE) Counselor rooted in HAES who uses IE, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, ACT, meal support, and cooking and food exposure. Work with me to feel empowered and connected to food, exercise and/or body.

Diagnoses I work with: chronic dieting history, Anorexia nervosa, Bulimia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), ED not specified, & more

Your gut does not feel well, and you're frustrated.

Gastrointestinal (GI) health is critical for nourishment, and when one struggles with GI issues, it can greatly affect quality of life. Further, it is estimated that ~90% of individuals suffering from eating disorders have a GI diagnosis or symptom(s). I receive regular case supervision on GI cases with experts in the field, and use evidence-based care to help clients feel better.

Diagnoses I work with: unknown GI issue, Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), Celiac disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Irritable Bowel Disease,  GERD/reflux, Functional Dyspepsia, food allergies & intolerances, Gastroparesis, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, & having an ED with GI concerns

College is a time of self-discovery and growth and can also be challenging if managing a nutrition-related health condition. After working in college health for 6 years, I understand the challenges and can offer tailored treatment.

If you're a US student studying abroad, I am available to see you while overseas. I understand how challenging a transition it can be to live in an entirely new culture. And, I can work closely with your providers at home to reduce redundancy and create seamless transitions of care.
