The noise and information we have around food and nutrition is endless and never turns ‘off’. We are bombarded with messages every day that are contradictory and utterly confusing. When we search for answers for a complex medical problem, we are often told that simple solutions around food exist. Yet, when we try these, we often do not feel any better. Or, we are just so overwhelmed by all the information that we do not know where to start.

Eating does not need to be stressful or confusing!
There are ways that food and nutrition can be supportive of your wellbeing and even help manage acute and chronic conditions. This is true for sports performance, pregnancy, digestive issues like chronic constipation, bloating, SIBO or IBD, as well as health concerns like polycystic ovarian syndrome or pre-diabetes.

Eating can be a more relaxed experience.
As a qualified nutrition professional with 10+ years of experience as a clinicial dietitian, I can support you in finding ways to eat that minimize any symptoms you may have as well as supports your overall wellbeing. I combine my clinical experience helping clients with digestive issues, pregnancy, sports performance, pre-diabetes and more with the current nutrition science and motivational techniques to help you understand how certain nutrition interventions may work, as well as how to create changes that are sustainable.

You are the expert, and I will partner with you to explore what's going on nutritionally as well as in other areas of life- sleep, stress, lifestyle, relationships, medical conditions, lived experience, socioeconomic background, and more.

My Approach
1
Build a Foundation
We will meet initially for 60 minutes and get to know each other. (All appointments are virtual.) I will ask questions to understand your history and present experiences with food, eating, movement and body. I ask a lot of questions about sleep, stress, digestive issues, etc. A full assessment takes 1-3 sessions.

We will define your goals and you will leave with strategies to try. After our first meeting, you will get a shared google folder where all resources and takeaway work will be shared.
2
Experiment & Evolve
We will meet for follow up sessions based on what you're struggling with and the interventions needed. You will try things to help alleviate symptoms, to feel better physically or to maximize nutrition for a life condition like pregnancy or sport. We will evaluate what works and what doesn't. I will also provide referrals to other providers should a medical doctor, therapist or other type of assessment or testing be helpful.

My services include support between sessions, if appropriate and desired. Examples include cooking skill instruction and email/text support.
3
Finishing Touches
By now, you may feel more confident around food, symptoms may be less or your lab work or other medical tests may show improvement. We will continue to work together as long as you'd like, until goals are met. We will eventually meet less often and end our time together.
The entire process may take a few visits, a few weeks or a few months. For instance, digestive issues may resolve within a few visits while nutrition support during pregnancy may be helpful for a year or so. It just depends on where you're at and what you need. The goal is to terminate care with you meeting your goals.
